Parametric CAD. Ready for analysis.

Lattiform provides native parametric CAD software for Apple Silicon Macs. Build editable sketches and feature histories, design parts and assemblies, create drawings and exchange STEP geometry, then continue into FEA Lab with the part’s materials and face references.

Model Prep in a development build of Lattiform showing a mechanical mounting bracket with two mounting bores, a fillet, editable feature history and a 40 mm upright extrusion selected.

Mechanical mounting bracket with two mounting bores, a fillet and editable feature history. The upright extrusion is set to 40 mm. Captured 16 October 2026 from a development build of Lattiform.

History, parameters and references.

An ordered feature history

Sketches, extrudes, revolves, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, shells, drafts, holes, patterns and mirrors sit in one ordered list you can rename, suppress and edit.

Parameters you can drive

Dimensions such as an extrude distance, fillet radius or hole diameter are edited in the inspector. The Table document holds user parameters, bindings and configurations.

References that say when they break

Sketches follow the faces and datum planes they are attached to. When an edit removes something a feature depends on, the broken reference is reported by name instead of guessed.

Four documents in one workspace.

Part

2D and 3D sketches, features, surfaces and datums. Sheet metal with flanges and flat patterns, weldments with cut lists, and mould and plastic-part checks.

Assembly

Components, mates, exploded views, a bill of materials and interference checks.

Drawing

Sheets with views, section views, dimensions, notes, balloons and hole tables, exported as PDF or DXF.

Table

User parameters, parameter bindings and configurations of the part.

Formats in and out.

Export from CAD

STEP (AP203, AP214 or AP242), IGES, STL, OBJ, OFF, 3MF, PLY and GLB. Drawings as PDF and DXF; sheet-metal flat patterns as DXF.

Import into CAD

STEP files through Smart STEP Import. STEP exported from CAD imports into FEA Lab without repair.

Read by FEA Lab

STL, OBJ, PLY, OFF and VTK meshes; 3MF, glTF/GLB, AMF, Rhino 3DM and IGES solids; STEP AP203, AP214 and AP242. Files over 64 MiB, or files it cannot read correctly, are refused and the study is left unchanged.

Continue to FEA Lab

One step from the part to a study.

Continue to FEA Lab carries the part, its material and its face names into a study. The study is solved on a regular grid of cube elements fitted around the part, and the Analysis Body view shows exactly what the solver uses.

01 / 03Editable bracket

01 · Editable bracket. Edit the bracket’s feature parameters. This captured development example shows a 40 mm upright extrusion.

Several bodies can be analysed only welded into one, and modal and buckling studies refuse parts that leave grid cells partly filled. See the simulation limits.

What ships, and what doesn’t yet.

Status comes from Lattiform’s capability register. Shipped means it is in the current version of Lattiform. Beta means it is in the current version but unverified or without published evidence. In development means it is not in a released version. Full scope for the current version.

2D and 3D sketches and an ordered feature history: extrude, revolve, sweep, loft, fillet, chamfer, shell, draft, hole, linear and circular patterns, mirror, surfaces and datums. A 2D sketch imports DXF and exports DXF or SVG.

A model that displays is not automatically a valid solid for analysis.

Parameters and configurations

The Table document holds user parameters, parameter bindings and configurations of the part.

Stable references

Sketches follow the faces and datums they are attached to. A reference that an edit removes is reported by name, not guessed.

Geometric signatures are bounded recovery evidence, not a proof of identity after every edit.

Assemblies

Assemblies are analysed in FEA Lab only as one welded body.

Export STEP (AP203, AP214, AP242), IGES, STL, OBJ, OFF, 3MF, PLY and GLB; STEP export keeps each body's colour. STEP import with Smart STEP Import. STEP exported from Model Prep imports into FEA Lab without repair.

Model Prep's full import list is not yet confirmed and is not claimed beyond STEP.

Continue to FEA Lab carries the part, its material and its face names into a study. A linked study stays current after edits that do not touch its supports or loads.

Several bodies are analysed only as one welded body.
